The Fund Raising Golf Day Sub-Committee proudly presented the 12th Golf Day on Friday, 4 May at The Hong Kong Golf Club in Fanling, bringing 100 keen golfers and guests from the business, finance and legal communities together for a charitable cause. It was also a great pleasure to have 3 junior golfers from The Hong Kong Golf Association joining the event.
33 students from the HKSPC Operation Santa Claus Fanling Nursery School were also there to receive a complimentary golf clinic offered by The Hong Kong Golf Club. Thanks to the encouragement and guidance from the golf captains, the response was overwhelming and the children were happy to have such a memorable golfing experience.
The event started with a lunch buffet and an opening ceremony; then the golfers played an 18-hole tournament to compete for the team and individual championships, longest drive contest and nearest to pin contest to win fabulous prizes donated by our various sponsors. After the fun and competitive excitement, the golfers and guests shared some joyful moments together over cocktails and a dinner buffet. Awards were presented after the dinner.

This year, our Flag Day will be held in the Kowloon Region on Saturday, 28 July. We have been working hard to prepare for this major fundraiser and are seeking volunteers to help us sell flags on the day! All money raised will be allocated to our two non-subvented Children & Families Services Centres and the Centre for Child Enlightenment to support their operations. The Centres together provide services to more than 50,000 attendence yearly.
