Family Day 2018

It has been a busy first quarter for the Fund Raising Sub-Committee (FRC) with a number of successful events taking place including the Family Day 2018, Red Packet Collection and Raffle Sales. A sincere and heartfelt ‘Thank You’ to all our generous sponsors.

Family Day 2018 was held on Sunday, 28 January at The Hong Kong Gold Coast Hotel and Dolphin Square. We were very fortunate to have picture-perfect weather! The event began with the corporate relay run followed by the family walk with over 500 participants chatting, strolling and taking photos along Golden Beach Path. The children were mostly running up and down the path gleefully collecting stickers for souvenirs along the route and, after a delicious buffet lunch, went on to play on the lawn where bouncy castles and game booths were set up.

It was wonderful to see everyone enjoying the outdoors and having so much fun. It was a lovely opportunity for the FRC families and friends, sponsors and also the HKSPC service users to meet with each other and have a great time together, echoing the slogan of Families for Families.

This year, raffle tickets were sold from 22 January to 10 March with the raffle draw held on 16 March at the HKSPC Headquarters. Over 30,000 tickets were sold to win over 80 wonderful prizes donated by our sponsors. We were delighted to welcome children from the Centre to help with the draw – they were so delighted to join in!

Prize Drawing Ceremony

On Friday, 4 May we will be holding the 12th Golf Day at The Hong Kong Golf Club at Fanling. Since the first Golf Day in 2004, the event has grown into a substantial fundraiser hosting 120 players. We are seeking sponsors and patrons to join this year’s event and prize donations to help make it a fun and exciting tournament for our patrons and supporters.

Golf Day 2017

This year, Flag Day will be held in the Kowloon Region on Saturday, 28 July. We are seeking 3,000 volunteers to help us sell flags on the allotted day. We are also seeking assistance from corporates to collect donations at their organization closer to and before the event day. All contributions are welcome and will help us make a difference to the children in need.
