Children and Family Service Centres: Partnering with parents in child care and development

Children and Family Service Centres pay particular attention to child development by different means. We encourage parents to understand children’s needs, and make effort to join hands with parents to nurture their children. We also believe that building intimacy relationship between parents and children is the key for children to feel safe. Moreover, it is vital for parents to explore the world with their children together.

Besides providing assistance in educational aspect, our Centre also connects suitable community resources for, and offers emotional support to the deprived families with children. The diversified activities such as Toy Library, School Bags Library, Community Kitchen Program, Parent – Child Picnic, Parent – Child Physical Fitness Program, etc., are being organized by our Centre to enhance parent-child communication and let the deprived children also have a happy childhood.

In addition, the Centre offers Stationing School Social Work service at kindergartens, in which professional counselling and parenting workshops are rendered to parents and young children for strengthening family function and parenting skills. Nowadays, the teachers are working under great stress at kindergarten. The school social worker also organizes teacher workshop to help the teachers to release their pressure.
